ABOUT

The Don Norman farm is located in the volcanic terroir a few tens of kilometres away from Volcan Baru. It is a 7-hectare farm owned by Norman Gonzales, who produces the Caturra and Catuai varieties. Located at an altitude of 1,650 metres, Norman’s farm is built on a predominantly sandy and slightly clayey soil, created from the volcanic ash. It enjoys an average relative humidity of 80% and rainfall of 3,500 mm per year.

The Don Norman farm, belonging to Norman Gonzales, is located in Altos del Rio at an altitude of 1,600 metres, surrounded by mountains, natural springs and wild animals.
Passionate about new processes, he is constantly improving his coffee production techniques. He grows mainly the Caturra variety.

Norman Gonzales is 37 years old. He has spent most of his life doing different jobs at the local fincas, including building and welding.
He joined Baru Black Mountain 4 years ago and has since developed skills in production processes.

Thanks to this knowledge, he has been able to constantly improve his coffee production at his small farm.

His farm is located in Altos del Rio at an altitude of 1,600 metres, surrounded by mountains, natural springs and wild animals.
He cultivates mainly the Caturra variety.
