About this coffee

The organic and fair trade certified coffee is produced by small producers united in a cooperative (GRAPOS) in the south of Mexico, between 1100 and 1250 meters above sea level. Mexico is one of the top 10 coffee producing countries in the world and according to the SCA, there are more than 500,000 families of small farmers. Most of the country's coffee is grown in the south, near Guatemala. Veracruz, Chiapas and Oaxaca are the best-known producing regions.
Chiapas is the border region with Guatemala. The Sierra Madre mountains offer good altitude and excellent volcanic soils.
Chiapas generally produces a coffee with chocolate notes, medium body and bright acidity.
