We throw away roughly 600 billion single-use coffee cups every year worldwide! Too much plastic, too much waste, too many polluted oceans...
Circular was created with the aim of contributing to the fight against waste and plastic pollution. Old paper cups are not normally recyclable, but Circular&Co. has other plans! Eager to make a difference and to promote a circular economy, the team has come up with a solution for recycling the mountains of used single-use paper cups. So each mug recycles six used paper coffee cups.
CSR practice
The company collects single-use cups from major retailers at recycling centres, then processes them to produce reusable travel mugs at its UK site. Each mug is made from recycled materials and is designed to last 10 years. They can also be recycled at the end of their lives. Each mug recycles 6 used paper coffee cups. They also propose a take-back system: Circular offers a 30% discount to anyone who returns their Circular product at the end of its life.
