Located in Apaneca, the Himalaya plantation is known for being the first specialty coffee farm in El Salvador. Planted in the years 1880-1890, this 24 hectare farm has belonged to the Salaverria family since that time and produces many varieties: Bourbon, Caturra, Pacas, Pacamara, Geisha and Maragogype. Finca Himalaya has an excellent terroir with clay and volcanic soils, it produces coffees often awarded with the Cup of Excellence. A lot also finished in 5th position last year.
