About

The Santa Teresa station is owned by the Ureña family, Roger the father and Alex, the son. Here, at an altitude of 2,000 meters, the family's coffee varieties are processed on 15 farms: Geisha, SL-28, Typica, Pacamara, Wush wush, Casiopea, Sudan Ruma, Villalobos, Catuaí, Esperanza... The station is located in the Tarrazu region, on Costa Rica's west coast. The region and its climate are highly conducive to coffee-growing, for slow, gradual ripening of the cherries. The region's climate changes with the seasons: a season with moderate rainfall during berry growth and development, and a dry season coinciding with the harvest. After each harvest, each of the family's farms is carefully prepared to ensure consistent quality from crop to crop.
