The farm’s producer, Catalina, worked for many months to produce this coffee, questioning her techniques and searching to improve quality. When we first visited her farm, we did not feel her coffee met our quality requirements, or that it did justice to her terroir’s potential. With Marjorie’s technical help and by reviewing her production methods, Catalina has now achieved a high level of coffee excellence without neglecting the social and environmental priorities to which her farm is committed. This coffee is produced mainly from fully-washed Caturra.
