Ibrahim Jeilan has an exceptional background. Born in the Arsi region, he was spotted during his sports classes at school for his athletic abilities. His intense training led him to the highest podiums, as he was crowned world champion in 2011 in the 10,000m.
However, as a child, he could not imagine this exceptional destiny, travelling the world. His father was trying to make the family coffee business successful and Ibrahim, as a child, helped him carry a few bags on his shoulders to sell in the local markets. He dreamed of becoming a great trader. His achievements in athletics now allow him to fulfil all his dreams. In his thirties, he chose to return to coffee. He created an import/export company in Ethiopia, which allows him to sell his coffee on the international market. And since 2018, he has taken over a coffee farm in Arsi, his native region. He admits that his new activities also require, in their own way, a lot of stamina!
