Gashonga's vision is to contribute to the fight against poverty through coffee growing and to develop the entrepreneurship of its members in order to diversify their income. Since its inception in 2009, the association had a positive impact on the community. 110 members of the association benefit from a health insurance cover for the whole family and contribute to the Ejo Heza savings plan, a long-term retirement savings plan for all Rwandan citizens, launched by the government in partnership with Access to Finance Rwanda.
