A few words about Hinga Kawa Coop

HingaKawa's vision is to fight poverty and become economically independent through coffee growing and to develop the entrepreneurial spirit of its members in order to diversify their income.

Since its creation, the association has been involved in various projects:

- The sewing project: This project aims to train young people in the community in sewing. Not only does this provide an additional source of income for the women and their families, but it also allows the young women to learn a new trade.

- Guest house: In partnership with the Abakunda Kawa cooperative, Hinga Kawa is building a project that will provide additional income for women farmers and contribute to the region's reputation as a tourist destination.

Hingakawa has a positive impact on the community. Hingakawa members contribute to the generation of income for over 3,260 families. Members of the association benefit from a health insurance scheme for the whole family and contribute to the Ejo Heza savings plan, a long-term retirement savings scheme for all Rwandan citizens, launched by the government in partnership with Access to Finance Rwanda.
