The coffee (natural process) from the factory of clouds

The associates of ASCISP belong to the indigenous community NASA WESX that have united their efforts and dreams to protect mother nature and to live with dignity through the production of coffee of excellent quality.

The coffee is produced by indigenous hands, with high-altitude and environmentally friendly ecological practices. The varieties cultivated are well-suited to the climate and environment, resulting in highly productive and profitable plants. The producers also grow corn, beans, and staple food products intercropped among the coffee plants and in the shaded lots. Harvesting depends on soil fertility, flowering, and fruit development. Collection occurs every 20 days, and thanks to the warm climate, there is year-round fruiting, with peak harvest periods in April, May, June, October, and November.

The cherries are properly harvested, selecting only ripe beans. They are fermented for 24 hours and then dried. After drying, the beans are packaged and sent to ASCI’SP for analysis, in 50-kilogram bags. The final step is shipping to the customer.

Association ASCISP

ASCISP, was born in January 2014 in the village of San Pedro du Resguardo Nasa We'sx. This association was born from the initiative of a few coffee growers who understood that in the current economic dynamic, uniting small coffee growers allows them to have a greater impact. Together, they can assert their rights and increase their influence on the markets, while remaining committed to respecting Mother Earth and ensuring the well-being of the Nasa community. Although founded in the village of San Pedro, ASCI'SP now has 79 members - 23 coffee growers and 56 farmers - from the 7 villages that make up the Resguardo.

Project Fábrica - Colombia

Improving coffee drying by purchasing mechanical dryers

The Fabrica project involves supplying 2 mechanical dryers, for drying 4,000 kg of wet parchment (2,000 kg of dry parchment). Each association, Asocanafi and Ascisp, will receive a silo.

As part of the project, we are helping to install the silos and provide training in their proper use.
