About this coffee

This is the coffee of a champion! And that's in the truest sense of the word, because Nensebo coffee is produced by Ibrahim Jeilan, the 10,000m world champion. Ibrahim comes from a family of coffee traders. As a child, he imagined taking over the family business and seeing it flourish. But his destiny led him first to the athletics podiums around the world, where he performed brilliantly. Now he's back in the coffee, his first childhood dream!

The farm Nensebo Ribriba

Nensebo coffee is produced in the village of the same name in the Arsi zone of southern Ethiopia, in the Oromo region. Ibrahim Jeilan was born in this region, grew up there and took over the management of a coffee farm a few years ago. He also collects cherries from the farmers of Nensebo and the surrounding villages. The coffee is harvested at an altitude of about 2000 meters above sea level, in a wooded environment where the shade ensures that the cherries ripen well.
These cherries are prepared in the Ribriba Nensebo farm station and dried on African beds before being sent for export to Addis Ababa.

A few words about Ibrahim Jeilan

Ibrahim Jeilan has an exceptional background. Born in the Arsi region, he was spotted during his sports classes at school for his athletic abilities. His intense training led him to the highest podiums, as he was crowned world champion in 2011 in the 10,000m. However, as a child, he could not imagine this exceptional destiny, travelling the world. His father was trying to make the family coffee business successful and Ibrahim, as a child, helped him carry a few bags on his shoulders to sell in the local markets. He dreamed of becoming a great trader. His achievements in athletics now allow him to fulfil all his dreams. In his thirties, he chose to return to coffee. He created an import/export company in Ethiopia, which allows him to sell his coffee on the international market. And since 2018, he has taken over a coffee farm in Arsi, his native region. He admits that his new activities also require, in their own way, a lot of stamina!
