Our partnership with the Croce family of FAF (Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza) goes back many years. FAF's projects in Brazil give a new image and a positive impact on production in a country where intensive agriculture and monoculture are the norm.
In 2012, FAF duplicated the Bob O Link project in Caparaó, helping Clayton Barrossa, the producer, turn to agroforestry.
The Bob O Link is the name of an endangered migratory bird endemic to Brazil. It migrates every year between the USA and Brazil, but unfortunately no longer finds the food resources necessary for its migration period due to intensive monoculture. This bird is above all a symbol.
The Bob O Link project is a global approach that places coffee at the center of a project for life, nature and its preservation. It's an innovative vision that creates value by diversifying crops and therefore sources of income.
We've been supporting this project for many years, as it represents the future of the industry and has inspired us a great deal in our sourcing: do little, but do it well, and make the most of every crop!
