About this coffee

This coffee comes from a number of small producers around the Santa Rosa Dry Mill, Pueblo Nuevo Viñas, in the Nuevo Oriente region. This rainy, ex-volcanic region has mineral-rich soils that allow the plantations to thrive and produce complex coffees.

Why the name Nueva Rosa?

It is a contraction of the name of the Santa Rosa terroir and the Nuevo Oriente region.

This coffee is a blend of Bourbon, Pache, Caturra and Catuai.

The region Nuevo ORIENTE

Since the 1950s, coffee cultivation has been a longstanding tradition in this region. Presently, nearly every farm on the mountain has transformed into a coffee-producing unit, turning what was once one of the poorest and most isolated areas of Guatemala into a vibrant and flourishing community.

Situated on a former volcanic range, Oriente experiences regular rainfall and cloud cover. Its soil composition consists of metamorphic rock, providing a balanced mineral profile distinct from soils in regions that have undergone volcanic activity since the inception of coffee planting.
