The majority of farms (98%) in Honduras are located at high altitudes, between 1,200 and 1,700 meters. It is in this mountain range that the Tinto or Negro, Guasaule, and Torondano rivers originate, flowing into the Pacific Ocean, as well as the Coco or Segovia River, which flows into the Atlantic Ocean and is the second longest river in Central America.
