A few words about IMPEXCOR ENR. LTD

Impexcor Coffee’s story begins in Mibilizi, the historic region where the very first coffee tree in Rwanda was planted in 1904 by German missionaries. In this coffee-rich land, Innocent Mwumvaneza inherited family farms established by his parents, who began cultivating coffee in the 1950s. A lifelong coffee enthusiast, he dedicated his career to the industry—working as a farmer, supporting coffee-growing households, supplying washed coffee, and establishing central wet mills for specialty coffee processing.

In 2008, after years of experience in local coffee trade, Innocent founded Impexcor Coffee and entered the export market, aiming to share Rwanda’s finest coffee with the world. Following his passing, the legacy was carried forward by his children, with Mr. Mwumvaneza Ernest now serving as Managing Director.

Today, Impexcor operates 22 coffee washing and processing stations, with an additional 2 stations set to become operational in 2026, across all four provinces of Rwanda. These include locations in the Western Province (Rusizi, Nyamasheke), Southern Province (Nyaruguru, Ruhango, Muhanga), Eastern Province (Gatsibo, Ngoma, Rwamagana), and Northern Province (Burera, Gicumbi). This strategic presence enables the company to capture the full range of profiles that Rwanda’s diverse coffee-growing regions can produce.
