Every bean carries a story.

Our coffee is more than a beverage, it is the expression of history, dedication, and family legacy. The oldest variety on our farm, Colombia, was planted by my father and remains one of our most productive lots. Its yellow ripe cherries, generous size, and distinctive attributes in the cup reflect both tradition and resilience.

Every harvest is sustained by constant care: from weeding and vine removal, to fertilization, pulp management, and the renewal of coffee plots. Shade is provided by plantain trees, and great attention is given to protecting against rust and borer. Each of these practices is an act of commitment that ensures quality and continuity.

Behind every cup lies not only unique flavor profiles, but also the story of perseverance, heritage, and the passion of those who cultivate it.

I believe that every coffee is made unique by its story and origin, as well as by the effort and dedication of each producer. For me, each coffee is special not only because of its diverse cup profiles, but also because of everything that has taken place for it to reach the cup.

The oldest variety on our farm is the Variedad Colombia. I remember it was planted by my father, and today it remains one of the most productive lots. Beyond its cup attributes, its cherries ripen to a distinctive yellow color and are known for their good size.

Between harvests, we carry out essential maintenance practices such as plateadas (cleaning the weeds around the coffee trees), desbejucada (removing vines that tangle around the plants), fertilization, pulp collection, lot renewal through replanting or zoqueo, rust and borer control, and the planting and maintenance of plantain as a shade crop.

The region Risaralda

The department of Risaralda, with an area of 4,140 km², is located in the central part of the Andean region of west-central Colombia, at the heart of two major economic centres: the department of Antioquia to the north and the Cauca Valley to the south, which stretches between the central and western cordilleras whose slopes descend to the Cauca River. This coffee-growing region is home to a large number of producers working in cooperatives, which has led to a growing interest in ethical labelling of organisations.

Coffee plays an important economic and social role in Risaralda, providing employment for many local people. The region is a strategic crossroads between several coffee producing areas. The city of Pereira acts as a hub between the neighbouring regions of Caldas and Quindío, which are linked by the famous "Autopista del Café", the coffee highway. In the Risaralda, coffee growing is more than just an economic activity; it is a tradition deeply rooted in the identity and aspirations of its producers.
