A vibrant Pink Bourbon grown with patience, harvested with purpose.

Grown under the shade of native trees at 1,400 masl, this Pink Bourbon thrives in a carefully balanced microclimate and is cultivated with regenerative practices that prioritize soil health and biodiversity.

With limited trees and hands-on care, each stage from flowering to harvest, is guided by deep agronomic knowledge and a commitment to sustainability. The result is a vibrant, expressive cup that reflects both place and precision: bright, clean, and full of character.

Pink Bourbon is a rare and celebrated hybrid, believed to be a natural cross between Red and Yellow Bourbon. It is prized for its complexity in the cup, vibrant acidity, and refined sweetness—often revealing notes of floral aromatics, tropical fruits, and delicate spice.

At 1,400 meters above sea level, this particular Pink Bourbon grows under native shade trees in a carefully balanced microclimate. The small-scale nature of the lot allows for precision farming: each tree is monitored individually, receiving natural fertilization, regenerative soil care, and hands-on attention throughout the growing cycle.

The farm Buenos Aires

Finca Buenos Aires is located in the municipality of Montenegro, in the department of Quindío, at an altitude of between 1,300 and 1,350 metres above sea level. It extends over 14 hectares, entirely planted with coffee, as well as other crops such as bananas, maize, beans, cocoa, other fruit trees and floral corridors as part of the "Corridors of Flowers" project. This initiative consisted of planting floral corridors and shade trees across the farm, aiming to reduce the use of agrochemicals while enhancing soil health and fostering ecosystem symbiosis. By increasing the biodiversity of pollinators, we naturally help to reduce pest and disease pressure.

This farm is very special, because it is like a gift that the earth and Jesus' father have given to him and his family. It is the result of many years' hard work and represents the possibility of prolonging coffee growing. Although the initial conditions in which they received the farm were very unfavourable, with small but constant exercise and effort, they managed to build their own Micro - Beneficio (small processing station) and this is something that makes the family proud and raises their awareness, because it shows them day after day that with humility it is possible to overcome obstacles and challenges to achieve good results.

A few words about Jesus Bedoya

Jesus comes from a farming family. His grandfather farmed the fields, and his father mainly grew coffee. It was thanks to this work that his children and grandchildren were able to study different university careers. Jesús is a small/medium producer from Quindío, who mainly grows Caturra, Colombia Variety and Bourbon for the Estate Coffee category, but also produces Micro lots and Nano lots with exotic varieties and differentiated processes. All his production is organic and sustainable.

When you meet Jesus, his slow and thoughtful way of speaking, taking care with every word, demonstrates his wisdom in life and in the field. That integrity is what has forged his purpose on the farm to not only maintain his family's legacy but to improve it through ecological practices out of pure conviction.

In addition, for him the associative cultivation of different fruits such as corn, beans, bananas, cocoa, among others, is fundamental. And as if this were not enough, because of the great biodiversity found in the Buenos Aires farm, he is part of our project "Flowers Corridors" project. There are many floral corridors that combine with the shade trees and other fruits, not only for a better coffee, but also for a better future.

Project Flower Corridors - Colombia

Biodiversity for a better coffee

Belco, Sudus Coffee and Delonghi have made a commitment to sustainability by developing the “Flower Corridors” project.

This initiative by Sudus, together with a team of botanists, biologists and entomologists, involves planting corridors of flowers and shade trees on the Quindío farms selected for the project.

Nurseries for flowering plants and shade trees will be built, and training will be provided on the impact and benefits of biodiversity and shade in coffee growing.
