Long before Jaén became one of Peru's main coffee-growing regions, the Marañón valleys were one of the great natural gateways between the Andes and the Amazon. It was in this territory that the Pakamuros lived, peoples known for their independence and resistance to the expansion of the Inca Empire.
Today, our Pakamuros reference pays homage to this heritage and to the mountains where it was born. Produced by a network of smallholder farmers members of Coopagro, this blend brings together the Catimor, Bourbon, and Typica varieties. Cultivated on the slopes of Jaén, these coffees express the character of a terroir shaped by the confluence of Andean and Amazonian climates.
