The Kantuta farm, located in the Yungas region of Caranavi, Bolivia, is owned by Mery Canaviri. With a total area of 10 hectares, 3 hectares are planted with coffee trees of the red Catuai variety. Situated at an altitude of 1,450 meters above sea level, Kantuta has a rich history of over 40 years in coffee production, started by Mery Canaviri’s grandparents. The name comes from the kantuta flowers that grow abundantly in the region, a flower that is a national symbol of Bolivia. Over the years, the farm has been managed by different generations of the family, while maintaining a consistent commitment to coffee cultivation. Coffee production on the farm is carried out in an artisanal manner, with a focus on sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.
