Jeivert Pañuni Hernandez is a coffee producer in the region of South Yungas, more precisely in the municipality of Irupana, in the department of La Paz. His farm, La Avanzada is located on a altitude that can reach 2040 masl. Among the total of 15 hectares of the farm, 10 are dedicated to coffee production. Jeivert growns mainly typica (70%) and a small part of caturra (30%).
The municipality of Irupana is relatively new. It was created on 1 July 1899 and is part of the province of Sud Yungas. It is located 112 km from the city of La Paz, and has a predominantly Afro-Bolivian population. More than 930 families have settled in the canton of Chicaloma, which covers a surface area of 1,365 km2. It is located in the southeast of the department of La Paz. The neighbouring municipalities are Yanacachi, Chulumani and La Asunta to the north, Inquisivi to the south-east, Loayza to the south and Murillo to the west.
