Inza is the name of a municipality in the heart of the Cauca region. It is one of the best known coffee producing areas around Inza and the town of Popayan. The altitude (1780 - 1830 meters above sea level), the proximity to Ecuador and the surrounding mountains that protect the coffee from the humidity of the Pacific are real assets for coffee production. The stable climate throughout the year and the rich volcanic soil make it possible to obtain quality coffees. The land is home to a large number of animal and plant species, and many rivers have their source in this environment. The producers live mainly from this culture and have been passing on their experience for several generations.
