About

Our agronomist, Marjorie, has given training for producers at the Alone washing station, in the Guji appellation, in how to implement the honey process. This station is located at an altitude of about 1,800 metres and has existed for several years. The Guji Highland Coffee Plantation uses it to prepare a fully-washed coffee that it collects from local farmers. The station has 205 African beds for drying. Given the potential of this coffee, Jacques and Shambe from the Addis Ababa office have encouraged the local teams to produce high-quality honey microlots, with the help of our agronomist, Marjorie. She has explained each step in this process, designed to ensure greater respect for the environment by reducing water consumption. Since then, five beds have been added, dedicated specifically to drying honey-processed coffee.
