Finca Arrayanes
Acevedo

About

Arrayanes—which is the Spanish-language name for the Myrtle tree, a common shade-providing tree used throughout Colombia’s many coffee-growing regions—is broken up into several lots. José’s top lot, which sits at 1,650 m.a.s.l, is planted with Pink Bourbon and Yellow Caturra. The former variety has—in the past few years—gained a strong popularity among Acevedo’s coffee farmers, thanks to the work of a pioneering producer named Gabriel Castaño. José also has another lot that is made up of just six-year-old Pink Bourbon, a small lot of 1,500 recently planted Pink Bourbon trees and lastly a large all-Caturra plot.
