Harrison Muhoro Mwangi’s farm is located near the town of Nyeri, at 150 km in the north of Nairobi. This small farm of 2 ha, is composed by different types of crops, mainly coffee but also fruits, taro (a root commonly uses to cook) which are sold on local market to complete the farm’ incomes. Harrison started also recently fish farming in a small pond and has some cows to have milk at home. Harrison works hardly to cultivate coffee too and it is now sold on international market. This small farm is a good example of an agricultural model done by both local market and products to export. Harrison is working to preserve this balance.
