About

The washing station created in 2018 by the collector Hailu Figa is located in the heart of the village of Halo, in the Gedeo area, in the Gedeb district. It is located about 400 km south of Addis Ababa, in the administrative region of the Nations, Nationalities and Peoples of the South. Hailu Figa collects cherries from more than 400 farmers around. This passionate man, anxious to produce a delicate coffee, takes the time to select the most beautiful cherries and work with the various peasants involved in constantly improving quality. The coffee produced here, in the Yirgacheffe appellation, benefits from a rich natural environment, at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level, made of particularly fertile volcanic soils and a dense tree cover which ensures slow ripening of the cherries. This coffee then benefits from a vertical integration export by the Addissian company SNAP, which ensures full traceability of the Hailu Figa coffee selected by the Belco Ethiopia teams.
