Kinoni coffee farmers comprise a small group of ten farmers in Masaka region of Central Uganda who share a commitment to producing exceptional Robusta in Kinoni an area long known for high-volume commercial coffee production. Farmers including Augustine Mweruka, Michael Gonzanga Kamya, Mayanja, Mutebi, Nalukenge, and Serwanja represent generations of coffee-growing knowledge and a growing ambition to produce high quality and sustainable Robusta in Uganda.
While each farm has its own story, they are united by a common goal: managing their coffee fields, selectively harvesting only ripe cherries, and working closely with BETUBA to improve quality at every stage. Together, they are demonstrating that Kinoni is not only one of Uganda's most productive Robusta areas, but also one capable of producing distinctive, traceable specialty coffees.
