La Esperanza finca is a legacy from Martina's parents. She has owned it since 2000 and cultivates the Catimor, Bourbon and Costa Rica varieties on 4.5 hectares. The farm at the beginning had no coffee plantations, there were only fruit trees and a lot of vegetation. In 2001, Martina decided to plant coffee because the terroir was suitable and her parents being coffee growers, this culture spoke to her. Martina began to produce on 2 hectares, she was going to sell her production at a low price to merchants in Jaén. This allowed him to survive but no more. One day, his son Pedro told him about COOPAGRO and the many advantages of their support. This is how this association was born. Thanks to the cooperative and the advice of his son, Martina has considerably increased the quality of its coffee, its processes with solar dryers and has known how to value its production to live with dignity.
