Farm

Las 3E
Volcan Baru

About

The farm owned by Eliceo Mendoza, better known as Don Cheo, is a property located at an altitude of between 1,600 and 1,700 metres in Altos de Colorado, in the Volcan Baru region. It was purchased by Eliceo Mendoza senior in 1973. At that time, the farm was simply a mountain, and it was not until 1980 that he began planting coffee. He named it Finca Las 3 E because the first names of all the members of his family begin with the letter E. Eliceo produces a fully-washed coffee using the Caturra and Catuai varieties.
