Limmu Kossa

About

The Limmu Kossa terroir is located in the Oromo region, about 80 km north of the town of Jimma, within the appellation of the same name. This fully washed coffee is collected from a forest of diverse and ancient species. The richness of the soil and the environment of this terroir give its specificity to this coffee collected by the Dabessa brothers. Children of the country, these two brothers have developed their coffee business over the last ten years and now sell their production internationally. The name "Limmu" is traditionally associated with fully washed coffee from the Jimma region. This is how the first washing station was named a few decades ago in this appellation. The name "Limmu" has remained since then to qualify, by extension, all the fully washed coffees of this area. In this area, coffee growing, through the value it brings to the forest areas, plays a role in maintaining them. The combination of agricultural production and environmental preservation, specific to these areas, has motivated our teams to select this quality coffee from organic farming.
