Lorenzo Intzin
Tenejapa

About

Don Lorenzo was one of the first producers with whom Jesus Salazar Cafeologo started to work in the community of Sibactel, terroir of Tenejapa. In addition to producing coffee, Lorenzo owns beehives and produces cocoa. Thanks to him, we have the possibility of renting space on his property so that the entire community of Sibactel can be trained in agricultural practices. Don Lorenzo belongs to the Mayan community and to the Tseltal ethnic group. He doesn't speak Spanish. His son Alonso, responsible for several crops, is responsible for monitoring good soil enrichment practices. Don Lorenzo's farm covers 2.5 hectares and the coffee trees grow under the shade of chalum, endemic trees in Chiapas.
