Makena Coffee Estate
Kerugoya

About

In the Makena Coffee Estate, harvest is selective and manual, the cherries are delivered to the beneficio on the day to be sorted. Perfectly ripe cherries are separated from overripe or ripe cherries and foreign vegetable matter (leaves, branches, etc.). The water used for the washed process is water from the river, it then passes through filtration pits to be recycled and poured into the river. The grain is dried naturally, under the sun and on African beds.
