Farm

La Esperanza
San Isidro

About

Finca La Esperanza is a farm of 87.5 hectares, located in the Cantón El Porvenir, Municipio de Chalchuapa, Santa Ana. The farm is located at 1,000 to 1,750 meters above sea level. Since 2012, the Pacas family has carried out a renewal of the farm's trees. The endemic trees were very old, which made their root system inefficient and weak. For this renovation project, the Pacas Family decided to reorganise the farm into 18 different plots and to favour crops under shade (ingas, eucalyptus, conifers). At present, 70% of the total area of the farm has been replanted with the following varieties: Pacas, Red Bourbon, Pacamara, Orange Bourbon, Kenya, Bernardina, Heirloom and Mokka. Due to its geographical location, Finca la Esperanza enjoys a favourable climate, sheltered from the wind. The farm employs 65 full-time staff throughout the year.
