Farm

Sitio Bateia
Espirito Santo

About

The Sitio Bateia farm was founded in the early 1900s at the initiative of SolimarTomazini's family, who wanted to cultivate coffee. Faced with the difficult climate (wind, cold) and a not very satisfactory productivity, the family turned to new planting and harvesting techniques to improve yield. They produced their first cherries through hard work and sheer determination. Once the producers had solved the problem of poor productivity, they placed their focus on coffee quality. And the farm de-pulped its first cherries in 2001. In 2002, their work was recompensed when two lots from their farms were judged the best coffees in the state of Espirito Santo. Since then, the farm has continued to improve and is rewarded regularly for its efforts. Today, the 38-hectare farm dedicates 17 hectares to coffee. Equipped with pulpers, fermentation tanks, covered patios and African beds, the property even has its own machining processing machines, thus guaranteeing very good coffee traceability.
