The Acevedo terroir is located in the south of the Huila region, 182 km from its regional capital, Neiva. It borders the regions of Cauca and Caqueta and is part of the Andes.
This terroir is one of the biggest producers of coffee, with nearly 10,000 hectares under cultivation.
In 2018, it produced 15,000 tonnes.
Other agricultural crops are also grown, including bananas, maize, tomatoes, cocoa, sugar cane, cassava, onions, pineapples and blackberries.
