The Federación Campesina del Cauca (FCC) was founded in 1971 as a grassroots organization of smallholder farmers in the Cauca region of Colombia. Originally focused on land rights and rural organization, it evolved into a key producer group for sustainable and specialty coffee. Since the early 2000s, the FCC has led initiatives in organic and Fairtrade coffee, agroecology, and social empowerment — supporting hundreds of families across multiple municipalities. Today, it’s recognized for combining strong social roots with high-quality coffee production that reflects both environmental stewardship and community resilience.
