The association Café Entre Sierras was born in the foothills of the Perija mountains in the Valle del Cesar, where the majestic Andes Mountains are formed. After turning the page on sad histories marked by armed conflict in Colombia, the inhabitants of Perija decided to start a new life by creating this project around work in the fields. They returned to their farms after many years of abandonment by the guerrillas, with the idea of doing what they know best, which is to cultivate their land.
Sixteen farmers with the tradition of coffee growing in their veins have taken up this activity.
Entre Sierras produces organic coffees but not only that. They share a vision of associative coffee growing, for the well being of all partners, they make their decisions democratically and with full commercial and financial transparency.
The aim is to offer a better quality of life to the partners and a better future for the next generations.
