This coffee comes from the Serra do Cigano valley, a mountainous terroir in Mogiana located between the states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais. Its name, meaning “Valley of the Gypsies,” dates back to the 19th century, when the area served as a campsite for travellers. Crossed by the Rio Pardo, the valley is home today to several farming families whose plots have been passed down through generations.
These families have worked for many years with Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza (FAF), a pioneer of regenerative coffee farming in Brazil. Their collaboration aims to rethink coffee cultivation through sustainable practices, careful soil management and deep respect for local ecosystems.
This lot comes from the Curupira variety and is prepared using a natural process, a method particularly well suited to this terroir. This collective work results in a clean, consistent and harmonious coffee that reflects Mogiana’s gentle and comforting profile.
Today, this coffee crosses the Atlantic by sail, extending this environmental commitment throughout its journey and supporting a more responsible approach to logistics.
