Café L’Étranger sits in the Tecapa-Chinameca volcanic highlands of eastern El Salvador — a coffee-growing cordillera and micro-region outside Belco’s traditional sourcing areas. This Yellow Icatu is processed natural anaerobic, a method the team at L’Étranger executes with precision and consistency. The result is a complex, layered cup: caramel sweetness, floral notes, cocoa, and vivid berry and stone fruit. A producer we are very excited to introduce — stable quality, well-crafted processes, and outstanding microlots.

The team's opinion
What caught our attention with L’Étranger is the combination of a micro-region we hadn’t explored before and a team that clearly knows what they are doing in post-harvest. This Yellow Icatu shows it — caramel, floral, cocoa, strawberry and cherry, with the complexity that comes from a well-executed anaerobic. A very promising first harvest together.
