The Federación de Campesinos del Cauca – FCC, located in the Pubenza Valley, works to improve the living conditions of the peasant farmers of Cauca, promoting a dignified life, peacebuilding, the defense of rights, and the sustainable development of rural communities.
The project is also based on generational complementarity: valorizing the father's coffee while integrating the younger daughter into the production chain with an innovative approach. The cup quality is excellent, with coffees distinguished by a processing method different from conventional practices. The natural process also allows for the conservation of water resources.
The Federación Campesina del Cauca (FCC) was founded in 1971 as a grassroots organization of smallholder farmers in the Cauca region of Colombia. Originally focused on land rights and rural organization, it evolved into a key producer group for sustainable and specialty coffee. Since the early 2000s, the FCC has led initiatives in organic and Fairtrade coffee, agroecology, and social empowerment — supporting hundreds of families across multiple municipalities. Today, it’s recognized for combining strong social roots with high-quality coffee production that reflects both environmental stewardship and community resilience.
