Grown by Oscar Realpe in the high-altitude region of Totoró, Cauca, this Natural Castillo is a bold and expressive coffee shaped by the unique conditions of its origin. The combination of elevation, selective harvesting, and an extended fermentation process results in a cup full of intensity and character.

Expect a vibrant profile with pronounced fruit-forward notes—ripe berries, tropical sweetness, and wine-like complexity—balanced by a round body and smooth finish.
Oscar believes that altitude, careful picking, and fermentation are key to unlocking the full potential of this variety, and his meticulous approach is evident in every sip.

The farm was purchased in December 2010 with the vision of planting coffee as a way to improve our family’s income and quality of life — hence its name, El Porvenir (The Future).

It is located in Buenavista, Totoró (Cauca), 5 km from the Pan-American Highway near La Venta (Cajibío). The farm sits between 1,827 and 2,036 meters above sea level, in a plateau surrounded by neighboring family farms. 

"My story with coffee began in childhood. My grandfather, Don Buenaventura Paz, was a coffee grower, and my mother worked at the National Federation of Coffee Growers, so I grew up surrounded by coffee culture.

In 2010, my family purchased a farm in Vereda Buena Vista, Totoró (Cauca), with the goal of improving our quality of life through coffee production. Since then, we have focused on processes such as fermentation, drying, and selection, always aiming for specialty coffees.

One of our proudest achievements has been winning 2nd place in the Cauca Best Cup 2016 and ranking in the Top 20 of the Cup of Excellence 2022.

Over time, I realized that direct relationships with buyers could significantly improve my income. That is why I have learned about direct export, and for the past year, I have been attending international fairs to connect and sell without intermediaries".
