This natural coffee comes from Fazenda Semente, located in Patrocínio, in the Cerrado Mineiro region of Brazil. It is produced by Maria Vitória's family, who perpetuate coffee-growing expertise passed down through nine generations. Her grandfather, Edmundo Aguiar, was notably one of the pioneers who developed coffee cultivation in this region in the 1970s.
Today, Maria Vitória helps manage the farm alongside her mother, her brother José Lucas, and her sister Eugênia. Together, they are exclusively dedicated to producing specialty coffees, with particular attention paid to variety selection and mastering post-harvest processing steps.
The family is also developing more sustainable farming practices, notably through the production of their own organic compost, which reduces the use of chemical fertilizers, and photovoltaic energy, which covers all the electricity needs of the farm.
