This natural process coffee comes from Fazenda Semente, located in Patrocínio, in the Cerrado Mineiro region of Brazil. It is produced by Maria Vitória's family, who perpetuate a coffee-growing expertise passed down through nine generations. Her grandfather, Edmundo Aguiar, was notably among the pioneers who developed coffee cultivation in this region during the 1970s.
Today, Maria Vitória helps manage the farm alongside her mother, her brother José Lucas, and her sister Eugênia. Together, they are exclusively dedicated to the production of specialty coffees, paying particular attention to variety selection and mastering post-harvest processing steps.
The family is also developing more sustainable farming practices, notably through producing their own organic compost, which reduces the use of chemical fertilizers, and using photovoltaic energy, which covers all the farm's electricity needs.
