Wush Wush, naturally radiant

This natural Wush Wush is grown at Finca La Manoa and processed with whole-cherry drying under carefully controlled conditions. The result is an exotic, vibrant cup that combines ripe tropical fruit, floral aromatics, and silky structure.

A rare variety elevated through precision post-harvest practices, offering a clean, complex and memorable experience.

At Finca La Manoa, this variety is processed using the natural method, which involves drying the coffee with the whole cherry intact, under carefully controlled conditions of temperature, humidity, and airflow. This approach allows for greater integration of the fruit’s natural sugars and volatile compounds into the bean, enhancing the development of a more complex cup with intense sweetness, bright acidity, and a creamy, rounded body.

The sensory profile of this natural Wush Wush reveals notes of ripe tropical fruits, orange blossom, and red grape, with a long, clean finish.

The implementation of this process at La Manoa not only highlights the sensory potential of the variety, but also reflects a precise and quality-driven post-harvest approach, aimed at producing differentiated, high-value lots.

Die Plantage La Manoa

Founded 50 years ago and held by a single owner until recently, Finca La Manoa entered a new chapter two years ago when we acquired it with the vision of honoring its legacy while shaping its future. The name La Manoa comes from the Latin verb manus, meaning union and spirit, a reflection of the harmony we seek between people, land, and coffee.

The farm is located in Planadas, Tolima, in the village of Los Alpes. To reach it, one must follow the Planadas–Gaitania road, take the turn toward El Diamante, and continue until the crossroads of Los Alpes. Just six minutes past the school of the village, you will find La Manoa.

Our team is made up of 4 permanent workers, and during harvest season, we welcome around 15 seasonal pickers from neighboring areas. Each hand involved in La Manoa is part of the union that gives life to our coffee — a coffee that reflects the resilience, richness, and spirit of Tolima.

Ein paar Worte zu Jose Edwin Barzon

I was born the son of a coffee grower, and from a very young age I began learning the craft of coffee farming. My father taught me the many skills and traditions of caficulture, sharing his knowledge of processes and quality, which he has cultivated for more than ten years.

Two years ago, the opportunity arose to acquire Finca La Manoa, a dream that I shared with my parents. Together, we embraced this challenge, exploring new varietals and building a project rooted in family values. My parents have been my greatest support — their guidance and dedication have shaped my journey and inspired me to carry this dream forward.

I have always lived in Planadas, Tolima, and everything I know about coffee I owe to them. Being a farmer is, to me, a blessing — the privilege of producing differentiated coffees with humility, responsibility, and a commitment to quality.
