El Salvador

Ein paar Worte zu Florence Mathies

In 2009, Florence Mathies Hill, a passionate and dedicated woman, decided to continue the family legacy of coffee production in El Salvador, becoming the fourth generation of coffee farmers. Since then, Florence Hill has managed the three farms that are part of K-FE, along with her son Jaime Quirós. Florence has always cared for those around her, helping the communities near the K-FE farms. She has always demonstrated her commitment to the nutrition, health, and education of her workers and team.

Her operation has always been inspired by the legacy of her great-grandfather, James Hill, a leading producer and exporter in the coffee industry, who emigrated from Manchester, England, to El Salvador and adopted this country as his own. James Hill founded the Las Tres Puertas coffee mill in 1896, in the department of Santa Ana, located near the Santa Ana Volcano, whose slopes produce the highest-quality coffee beans. James Hill is still considered a pioneer in bringing the Bourbon Arabica variety to El Salvador. Since then, the Mathies-Hill family has been committed to producing the highest quality coffee possible, striving to innovate and adapt to changing times through dedication and constant work.
